turn off smbv1, that's a big no no and shouldn't be required.
to join the share on a mac it should just be 'smb://serverip/sharedfolder' without the quotes. it's should be pretty straightforward.
things to check: make sure NIC profile hasn't changed from public/domain/private
make sure network discovery and file/printer sharing is turned on in advanced sharing and in the Local Area Connection adapter
make sure permissions haven't changed for folder
